Just Keep On Keeping On!!!

                                                                                                            September 25, 2017

Hey Fam!
This week was a week just trying to get the progress still rolling, we have lots of people that have so much potential, but a lot of times I have found that no matter what we do the people still have to do their part, and plus that we have to do lots of extra work to try and just get the people to do their part. but one thing that I have found to be good is the book of Mormon, in its many abilities I have found that one of them at first that it shows really quick who really wants to progress fast and who doesn’t, depending on who wants to keep the commitments to read. as well as the doctrine in the book of Mormon is able to explain things and help them learn in a way that only they can learn with doing their own studies with the book.

apart from that, this past week was a pretty darn slow week, me I don’t really like slow week, not a whole lot was going on because of the 18 and everyone was still getting over from that, my hopes for this week is high, we have an opportunity to baptize, this one might get a little more difficult, but we will see what happens this weekend,

I want you all to pay a lot of attention this weekend with general conference., from what I think there is going to be a lot of important revelation given, these really are the final days.

I hope all is well with you guys I hope to write you all next week saying that we took out the trash on our sector and found some baptism,

Con Amor

Well, That wasn't supposed to happen!

                                                                                                            September 20, 2017
Hey Fam,
Well the big downer of the week was I was going to have a baptism, I even had the papers signed, Juan Manuel called me up on Saturday and told me that he wasn’t going to be baptized, he had a couple of reasons for a few things that happened in the interview, but we are going to keep teaching him, I found that his testimony of a few things isn’t as strong as I thought.

So one thing I noticed is as I have been praying to baptize every weekend, and becoming a preach my gospel missionary I have started to realize and think a lot more about what it says in the back of pmg, about our job is to help people meet the requirements for baptism, this means I need to be more focused on helping people be prepared for the interview as well as have a good firm testimony about the book of Mormon, if they have these 2 things all is golden, and baptisms won’t fall like mine did.

Due to the all-out partying in Chile not many people attended church, so our baptism for this week was moved for next week, if things go well within the next 3 weeks we should have about 3 baptism maybe 4.

For the weekend the work was super hard with everything partying and drinking, but all was good, on Monday I got pretty sick after lunch and ended up puking and having to stay in the house for the rest of the day. which was not what I wanted to do. I hate not working!

I love you all and hope that all is going well for you!

Preach My Gospel Missionaries

                                                                                                            September 11, 2017
Hello Fam!

Well to start off, wow what a busy week, I think it is safe to say that the lord is for sure blessing us, at this point I don’t have enough hours in the day to teach everyone that I want to, including I wanted to go put to more fechas with people yesterday but didn’t have enough time, the amount of people that we are finding, scratch that, the amount of people that the lord is literally putting in front of us is amazing and ever growing,

this past week after we had an amazing conference with president out here on the coast me and my comp started putting into practice a few things, let me explain, in the mission we have a book called preach my gospel, we are taught to use this thing to know how to be a missionary, using this book is designed to turn boys into missionaries, and a darn good one too, in an interview that I had with president a while back we talked about being preach my gospel missionaries, as well as putting into plan this challenge that elder packer gave us a few months ago, which is to baptize every week. my goal in my sector has been to put all of this into practice, as we are being the best missionaries possible and dedicating everything we have we are receiving these blessings, I have a group of people that have or are getting fechas for baptism, we are trying and starting to line it up so we baptize every week end, or that is the plan at least.

This week we have a baptism lined up for Friday, tonight I need to have a lesson with him to confirm that he has been living the word of wisdom for the week, as well as set all the details for that baptism, next week we should have at least one baptism of the girl I talked about last week, named Ana, as well as maybe a Haitian that I met last Saturday, and from there we have a few fechas but not 100 percent firm.

In the ward the bishop flipped a good 180 on us, he is starting to apply all the things that we have been trying to get the ward doing, he is really doing great now and with him 100% on board we are going to do some great things,

One thing that I for sure want to say is being humble is super important, remembering that all of this is coming from the lord, and really nothing from us. We are super blessed to be the Elders that are in the Lords hands at this moment, I hope and pray that things continue going the way they are,

I hope you all have a great week!

on here are some pictures from the conference with president as well as some weights I made! this thing weights a feather light 80 pounds.

love you all!
