16 Months!

                                                                                                            February 6, 2018

Hello Fam!!!!

hope all is going good back in the good ole us of a, here in Chile we are still enjoying a good grilling, or to put in simply we are getting cooked by the son! the heat continues to rise, but when you get beat them join em, so we also have tried to turn up the heat in the mission work,

this past week we spent lots and lots of time verifying and helping our investigators that we have progress, one is a lady named Pati, her daughter es un member of the church and paty has attented church a lot in her life, and many many missionaries have taught her but not any have been able to really get to stop smoking, now not to say that when we got there we did anything different, I just know that she finally started completing with her part of the process, I know that god has been helping her to stop smoking, this past week we made a deal with her that we would pass every day to check on her progress, as of about 3 weeks ago we was smoking 20 per day, yesterday she smoked one, we are helping her prepare to be baptized on the 17th of this month.

another story is about a lady that is dominicana, (Dominican Republic). we got to know her about 2 weeks ago, I might have mentioned her antes. they here along with a ton of other foreigners, basically Chile is just full of people from other countries, but it is super hard to get work here as well as the Chileans sometimes like to take advantage of the foreigners and not treat them well. as we got to know this couple we found that they have 5 kids still back home and are trying to find work so they can help their kids. we took them to an activity with a family that we are trying to reactivate and had a great time, the guy at the end said at first her really didn’t want to come but was super glad he did,

so, something funny, in the house we all speak Spanish, mas o memos en English or at least we all understand English, and we all understand and speak are learning to speak creole, haha I have to laugh at us now because in the house we bounce back and forth between 3 languages, it gets pretty crazy now! but it is a super cool and fun thing.

in the house this last week we had a little birthday party for one of the elders this week, we surprised him with a cake after they got home from a long day of work. we find ourselves in this house eating a lot together and having good family moments. haha we really have gotten to treat each other like a family in this whole zone, since it is a zone of all dudes we get to enjoy a few more things like that.

I hope all is well and that everyone is having a blast in life! here in the mission I am doing great just work and work then when we get to the point where we are dead we go work some more.

love you all"

Elder Anderson
